Keeping Up With Kolson : Kolson's First Month

Cue tears... I can't believe my baby is already over a month old

Eating & Sleeping Habits: Kolson's schedule is backwards ever since we moved into our new home. Before the move he was getting into a good sleeping routine, but now it's all over the place. Sometimes he will sleep all day and other times he won't; but no matter what he isn't sleeping at night. He is definitely a night owl. He stays up until about 3-4 in the morning then sleeps until around 6-7. Wakes up again between 8 and 9 and then sleeps until after 12.

Measurements: He didn't have a one month check-up (the Naval Hospital starts them at 2 months), but at his two week check-up he was 7 pounds 9 oz and was 22 inches longs. He was in the 98th percentile for height and for height and weight he was only in the 2nd percentile haha. He's too tall!

New Milestones: Kolson is very alert. He loves to look around and never wants to be in the same place for too long. He's my little adventurer! He can easily find me in a room and will follow me everywhere I go. He is starting to figure out how to smile. It's cute because he will smile then immediately makes this pouty face like he doesn't know what just happened to him

Loves: Bath time! He has loved this since he was born. He will kick his little arms and legs around the entire time. He also loves: car rides, his swing, eating, and his bouncer (my go to ways to get him to sleep)

Doesn't Love: Getting his diaper changed and Cooper. I think right now Cooper is just too big for him. Also, Cooper is still a puppy so all he wants to do is love on Kolson and play, poor guy.

Diapers: Right now he is still in Newborn diapers, but we are thinking of making the switch to Size 1 when we finish the Newborn diapers.

Clothing: Still in Newborn clothing also, but because he is so tall you can see his diapers on the side. I think I am going to switch him to 0-3 months soon. Even though the clothes fit him fine he is just too tall.

Mood: Overall Kolson is a happy little guy. He gets cranky quick if he's hungry, but besides that he is very content!

Firsts: Since being born Kolson has had many first: first road trip (to Pennsylvania), first Thanksgiving, first hospital visit, first doctor's appointment. A bunch more too

What I want to remember:

-The way he always has his little thumb tucked in between his pointer and middle finger

-The happy noises he makes when he pulls off of his latch during feeding

-His adorable sleep smiles...they always make me wonder what he is dreaming of

-The cute little spongebob snores he has

-He is starting to stick his tongue out

-He always has to be touching some part of me during a feeding

-The way his little bum sticks up in the air when he is starting to get tired
