Eating & Sleeping Habits: For a while I didn't think there would be a change with Kolson's previous sleeping habits, but finally there was! He still goes to bed late; he falls asleep between 10 and 12 at night and sleeps until 3-4 in the morning. Then falls back asleep until around 7 eats and goes back to sleep until noonish. Right now Kolson eats between 3-4 oz every few hours. For a while he wanted 4 oz every hour! It was crazy.
Measurements: Kolson just had his 2 month check-up. He is 23 1/2 inches tall and weighs 11 pounds. Finally putting him in the 39th percentile for height and weight! He had a huge growth spurt (now the constant feeding makes sense!).
New Milestones: Kolson finally found his thumb! He is able to suck on it, but prefers to still suck on his entire fists. He is a lot more alert, and smiles at people now! He smiles when he first wakes up and anytime you smile at him. He is a lot more active since birth and kicks his legs whether he is happy, mad or sad. I can't get over how much he has changed :)
Loves: Sucking on his thumb, bath time, getting his diaper changed, tickling his feet, ABC song, and stinky feet song. When I change his diapers I kiss his feet and sing stinky feet to him. He looks forward to it so much that if you don't do it right away he will stick his feet in your face until you do. He also loves mimicking people. He will keep sticking his tongue out until you do it, then he will smile and copy you.
Doesn't Love: Sleeping in his crib. He finally got a crib, and although he will now sleep in it, he doesn't like it as much as he loved sleeping with Patrick and I.
Diapers: Size 1. He wears size 1 Pampers, although they are a little big on him, but he will fit into them soon!
Clothing: He's been in 0-3 months for a couple weeks, and he's grown some more so I'm guessing he will be in 3 months before he is even 3 months!
Mood: He went through a very colicky stage when he was going through his growth spurt and trying to adjust to moving, but now he is nothing but smiles! He is very tough too! He doesn't seem to feel any pain.
Firsts: Kolson had his first Christmas! Santa came to visit our neighborhood on a firetruck and he got a picture with him. He didn't cry, but he didn't seem to enjoy it as much as I did. Then GunnyClaus (the Marine Corps santa) came to the commissary and he got a picture with him.
What I want to remember:
-He just started to coo at people. When he does he gets really into it and makes different facial expressions
-The way he grabs his ear when he gets really excited to eat
-Watching him decide if he wants to suck on his fingers, have a bottle or both!
-The loving stare he gives people who feed him. He has to look at you the entire time.
-When he is really upset and I go to comfort him he grabs my arm and pulls it into his body like he missed me
